Early California Explorers Here you will find two options to help you learn about the Early California Explorers (Hernando Cortez, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, Francis Drake, Sebastian Rodriguez Cermeno, Sebastian Vizcaino, Gaspar de Portola, Juan Bautista de Anza, Father Junipero Serra). The first is what I call the short route, which is a scavenger hunt worksheet. The second is the long journey which is a project created by Anna Keller and involves finding out about your explorer and reporting about your journey to the Queen.

Teachers may decide to choose a different topic for the Power Point project, if so, we will update your class info on the Power Point site.
